Here at Tumpy Green, we run a wide range of Activity Days for all ages. Activity days are great for giving you riding a real boost, as well as making new friends. All Activity days have plenty of riding opportunities, as well as an opportunity to care for your horse / pony throughout the day.
Here are just a few of the activities we currently run;
• Pony Club
We run Pony Club on a Tuesday and a Thursday.
The Tuesday session consists of working towards Pony Club badges and a 45 minute mixed ability group.
The Thursday session is for children aged 9 years and up, and they are given a pony to care for that evening, as well as getting a 30-minute mixed ability group. On a Thursday, the participants are required to assist with all yard activities and lead in lessons, so is a good way to train up for helping.
If numbers permit, more than one group lesson will run and will be divided by ability level/horse availability.
• Ride and Groom
A 2 hour session consisting of a 45 minute ride and an hour grooming and tacking up session. This is ideal for all levels as there is assistance available
These include a dressage test and a show jumping competition - a great way to give competitions a try with assistance getting the horse ready and warmed up.
• Camp
These days are a great taster of what can be expected from camp. There are 2 lessons/rides, which may consist of flatwork, jumping or hacking. The participant will be looking after a horse/pony for the day and there will be plenty of assistance available.
• Easter Camp
• Summer Camp
Please see our 'Camps' page for more details.
Our Activity days program can be found on EC Pro, and are advertised on our Facebook page in advance, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
